This web site launched on October 28, 2002. It was born of a need to have a common forum for pre-pro shot glass collectors to meet, exchange ideas and news, and to trade glasses. Thanks to the participation of the collecting community, pre-pro.com has not only fulfilled these needs, it's also grown into something much larger and significant than a simple collector's website: it has become a serious research tool for those interested in the history of the pre-Prohibition liquor industry and its participants.

The number of visitors to the site has now grown sufficiently large that it seems appropriate to define the mission, goals, and terms of use of pre-pro.com. By visiting pages on this site, you are agreeing to comply with the terms of use as explained below.

	www.pre-pro.com (also known as pre-pro.org) is a not-for-profit internet web site provided for the benefit of anyone interested in pre-Prohibition shot glasses or the history of the liquor industry in the years leading up to Prohibition (ca. 1800-1920).
	The primary mission of pre-pro.com is educational. Our goal is to provide information at about the origins of the glasses and the people who created them. By providing this information, we strive to promote further study of the old glasses and to foster pre-pro whiskey industry research and scholarship.
