This is actually a lovely old glass but it's difficult to tell from this photo.

Filling a glass with a dark liquid such as coffee or tea or soda is a common technique for trying to bring out the best in a label but it actually has the opposite effect! Invariably the label disappears into the background.

This particular example is about the worst I've seen because either the liquid used is straight out of the fridge and it's cold enough to have allowed condensation to form on the glass, or the liquid was spilled and has wetted the label.  There's nothing quite like getting a pre-pro label wet for causing it to darken.
