I know, makes you want to lean back from the screen, doesn't it?

I'm not really sure what the photographer was trying to accomplish here - perhaps proving that he had a super-maxi-hyper-close-up lens?  It's difficult to get a good sense of the glass as a result. 

There are additional problems.  It looks as if the glass is being held up to the lens just inside a doorway or window, but the light is too directional and the interior of the room too dark so that we see bright reflection on one side of the glass and gloom on the other.
