Paul raises a good point - eBay values and availability are only a guideline. Jugs and decanters bought on eBay have to be shipped, which adds significantly to the bottom line. Buys in the wild are subject to tax and buyer's premiums, but that tends to add up to much less overall.

But unless you're running a business intending to make a profit from collecting, buy what you like and let your estate worry about values!
