1897: The MD State Tax Commissioner reports that the taxable value of distilled spirits for this year was $20,516. The distillery was owned or operated by The Monumental Dist. Co., Wallace Owens, Manager.

The distillery stood at the corner of O'Donnell and 11 th. It was also doing business as Maryland Pure Rye Distilling Co. and Harry J Daly & Co.

Apparently this became one of the Trust's distilleries.
