The premises at Nuuanu Ave and Merchant St was built by W. C. Peacock in 1889-1890 when Merchant St was widened. Known as the Royal Saloon Building, it is one-story brick structure with cast iron ornamentation and white stucco pilasters, balustrade, and cornice. It still stands to this day, housing Murphy's Bar and Grill.
