Wm Arnold, Thos. Dobbins and Reuben Harshman began their distillery in Dayton at 117 E. Third Street but it closed in 1873. It was reopened in 1878 by F A Schwill for a single year. In 1882 it was reopened by Louis H Herancourt and Chas. B. Moser of Cincinnati and ran it until 1887.

Brand names used by this company include: "Old Mont Day."
