C. Lea Co. of 648-652 S Main (since 1905: 552 S Main) and adjoining lots opposite Illinois Central Railroad Depot, for a total of $13,000.

L. C. Lea Co. was a wholesale and retail liquor business run by J. C. Pidgeon. One of these buildings still stands as 552 South Main Street. This lot was Lot 243 of the Overton Subdivision, which was originally part of John Overton's 180- acre tract in South Memphis. Lea was the second owner, and Pidgeon the third.

Pidgeon abandoned the whiskey business when he purchased the Memphis Coca-Cola bottler in 1909.
