This is a rare engraved barrel-end Schweyer glass variant.

Schweyer is listed in directories from 1877-1918, first as just John Schweyer, then John Schweyer & Co. from 1889 to Prohibition. They were located at 609-613 W 12 th (1887-1908), becoming 1452-1458 W 12 th around 1909 with street renumbering.

Schweyer's "Arcola" brand whiskey was supplied by the Old Darling distillery of Prestonville, KY.

Brand names used by this company include: "Arcola", "Chicago Club", "Loon Gin", "Nestor", "Oak Glen", "Old Cabinet", "Old Cabinet Penn", "Rich Valley", "Schweyer 10 X Cabinet", "Schweyer Cabinet", "Schweyer Cabinet Reserve", "Schweyer Pure Rye", and "Straight Trip."
