Notes:
J B Martin listed from 1915-1918.

James B Martin (b. July 3, 1867; d. Jun. 12, 1937) does not list in the business directories but does show up in the city directories.
In 1913, Edward Davis & James B Martin are listed as owners of saloons at 1129 Grand Ave. and 128 W 5th.
Martin lists on his own beginning in 1914 and, by 1915, the 1935 Main St. address is identified as "Headquarters", implying that several saloons were now a part of the Martin empire.
The 1919 directory lists Martin as being at 1021 E. 12 th and in the Soft Drinks business.
There was no listing for 1920, although the 1920 census records identifies him, along with son-in-law Joseph H Stewart, who is in the "Saloon business".

Many thanks to Jeffrey Hollinshead for sharing the results of his directory investigations with us.
