The label is stencilled in black and reads "GROFFTOWN / PURE RYE / WHISKEY. / A.B. SHEAFFER, DISTILLER / LANCASTER, PA."

The base at rear is embossed with the name of the maker "SHERWOOD BROS. POTTERY NEW BRIGHTON, PA".
