A clear, tooled-top bottle with fluting around the neck and base that is characteristic of the Hayner Distilling Co. of Dayton, OH. The bottle is one quart size and stands 11-3/4" tall with a full paper label indicating that it contained Hayner Seven Year Old Rye.

The embossing on the reverse of the bottle reads: THE HAYNER DISTILLING COMPANY / DAYTON / ST LOUIS / ATLANTA / ST. PAUL / DISTILLERS, while the base is embossed with: DESIGN PATENTED / NOV 30th 1897. The label reads: HAYNER / SEVEN YEAR OLD / RYE / and lists the same cities as on the reverse.
