A heavy crystal bottle with an elaborate metal overlay that was once used to dispense "Montezuma" brand whiskey, from James Maguire of Philadelphia, PA.

The bottle stands 11-1/4" tall, 3-3/4" in diameter, and is completely encased in a soft metal cage with a vine-and-flower design. A plaque at front contains hammered and engraved text that reads:
CELEBRATED / MONTEZUMA / RYE WHISKEY / JAS. MAGUIRE / 470 & 472 NORTH 3rd St. / PHILA.

The bottle would have sat on the back-bar of saloon and hotel bars and would have been filled from a barrel supplied by the wholesaler.
