Directory display ad in 1894 reads: "Wholesaler Dealers in Fine Wines & Liquors, The Celebrated Bouquet, Old Anchor and Gibson Pure Rye Whiskies a speciality. Satisfaction guaranteed".
A letterhead dated Sept. 29, 1898, is printed with the company name as J M Schwoyer & Co., with officials J M Schwoyer and A R Hahn, but crudely ammended with an inkpen to read "Smith & Schwoyer", with Hahn crossed out and the name H S Smith entered. They claimed "Old Bouquet and Allentown Club Rye Whiskies a Speciality".
Note that Old Bouquet and Old Anchor were Humphrey & Martin brands (Philadelphia). Gibson was also based in Philadelphia.
