L. C. Lea Co. was a wholesale and retail liquor business acquired by partner James Christopher Pidgeon on April 12, 1901. Pidgeon purchased the company from the Lea estate, along with adjoining lots opposite Illinois Central Railroad Depot for a total of $13,000. The company continues under the name of J. C. Pidgeon until 1909.
