PO&N: Est in 1862 by Adam Baum (born in Germany but lived in the US since 1860). In 1890, Isidor & Nathan Baum joined the firm (both Philadelphia-born) and it became known as "Adam Baum & Son". Business is a 5 story structure 22 x 90 feet.

Baum was also briefly in business with Levi Strouse at (1870) at 122 Walnut and 17 Granite. Strouse later continued on his own.
