The following is taken from the "Pittsburgh and Allegheny Illustrated Review: Historical, Biographical and Commercial". It was published by J M Elstner & Co., Pittsburgh, PA., in 1889:

Bonistalli & Bisi. Importers and Dealers in Spanish, French and Italian Produce; Wines a Specialty; 10 Diamond Square.
Messrs. Frank Bonistalli and Ernest Bisi, composing this firm, established the business in 1884, and they occupy the main floor and basement,16 x 80 feet in dimensions, of the premises at 10 Diamond Square, where they carry on a large and prosperous business extending throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana and the West. They are direct importers and large dealers in every description of Spanish, Italian, French, German, Austrian arid Russian produce, including delicacies of all kinds, oils, bottled goods, thirty varieties of macaroni, vermicelli, foreign wines, liquors, cordials, cigars, foreign fruits, nuts, etc. They have a very neatly arranged store and most attractive stock and they maintain the most favorable relations with leading producers throughout Southern Europe by which they are enabled to offer superior selections of goods and the greatest inducements in quality and price.

Mr. Frank Bonistalli, of this firm, is a native of Italy, from whence he came to the United States in 1861. He enlisted in the United States navy in the early part of the war, and served until the close of hostilities, and is now a prominent member of the Grand Army of the Republic and is also prominent in the Italian circles of the city. His partner, Mr. Ernest Bisi, is also a native of Italy, and has resided in this city for the past nine years. He was in the wholesale fruit business prior to the formation of the present partnership. Both gentlemen are business men of superior attainments, who have earned good repute is a consequence of uniformly fair dealings.

Major street name renumbering in 1884 and again 1896, again in 1899 (Ohio Ave). Washington became Warrington in 1910. Just liquor dealer pages until 1899, except in 1874, 1878, 1880. 1875, 1887 are missing. 1877 and 1878 pages are identical, so one is missing. 1886, 1891, is partial listing. 1901 - started showing phone exchanges and numbers for all. 1907. No Distillers, Liquors begins with "Bigley". 1909, 1912, no distillers.
