1913: "The unscrupulous dealer will take raw spirits, or "Singlings", the familial name used by the Distiller for the first product of the still, before it has been re-distilled, and add flavoring and coloring and sell it as whiskey. This stuff, according to Amos J. Givens, an insanity expert, causes much insanity. When you drink such cheap, raw, harsh dope, you paralyze the nerve centers and the poisonous fusel oils destroy the lining of the stomach. We warn you against such dealers. We are known as THE SIMON PURE WHISKEY HOUSE".

Their advertising (date unknown) claims contollership of RD #2 of the KY's 7th Tax District. This was, in fact, The Geo Stagg Co.'s Carlisle Distillery.

The company used the brand names:
"All Velvet", "Atlasta Gin", "Bendigo Club", "Colonel Corn", "Cove Spring", "Kentucky Life", "Keuka Chief", "O' Dea's Special Reserve", "O' Dea's Standard", "Official Seal", "Old Raider", "Placid Rye", "Silver Fern Gin", "Star Pointer", and "Tassel Top Corn."

Rochester directory notes:
D = distillers, R = rectifers.

My copies are restricted to distillers & rectfiers only, no wines or liquors, although the copies include full display ads from all years and some of these include liquor dealers. There was a city-wide street renumbering in or about 1883.
