From the 1877 directory: "Distillers, Rectifiers and wholesale dealers in pure double copper distilled old rye, bourbon and wheat whiskies, French spirits &c. Office and warehouse, East end of Clarissa Street Bridge." "Cornhill rye" first lists as "Our Speciality" in 1895.

J E Wolcott & Co., 1897, is owned by James E Wolcott and John F Zimmer.

In 1907, John F Zimmer is listed as President, Thos. J Naylon as Secretary; "Cornhill Rye and Malted Wheat Whiskey our specialty".
