J.A. Cunningham was a Louisville KY. firm, successor to McKee, Cunningham & Co., 1872-1881. The Paul Friedman Co. of San Francisco had distribution rights from their offices at 312 Battery St. Edmonson suggests that they were wiped out by the 1906 earthquake. Cunningham brands included "Cunningham" and "Red Lion Gin" (R: 1899).

The company used the brand names:
"Cremorne", "Cunningham", "Hobson's Choice", "Maiden", and "Real McCoy-Pure Quill-The Straight Whiskey."
