Gouge & Co were distillers and wholesalers, established ca. 1880. In 1912, they were located at 826-528 Commerce Street and advertising that they were now shipping their product by mail. "Happy Valley" was their main brand, a 100 proof corn whiskey selling at $2 per gallon (1912), but a jug shows them also selling "Old Zeke's 100 Proof Corn Whiskey". Charlie Barnette has them listed 1905-1914 with distilleries in N. Bristol, S. Bristol, and Gouge TN.

The company used the brand names:
