This turned out the be the star of the show - the table we'd all dreamed of but never dreamt we'd see.  It was also the last to be set up so was least expected.  I'd already cruised through the hall several times and bought a number of nice glasses.  Had I gone home at that point, I'd have been more than content with my winnings, but the woman who was setting up this table had mentioned that they were going to put out some shot glasses so I kept coming back to check on progress.

While Bill was negotiating a deal on his Smith glass, I cruised back to find shots appearing like magic.  Unbeknownst to me, this was Paul Van Vactor's table ("stilz": shown below) and he had come armed with a collection of 600 beer shells and shot glasses to sell at the show!!!  Even a serious glass-luster could be sated here and I watched in disbelief as the table was filled with rare and uncommon glasses, all in mint condition.

I pulled as many aside as my grubby little hands could accommodate, the haul including an enamel "Jed Clayton" and a silk screened "Black Cat".  There was also a nice cluster of Boston and other MA glasses to fill out Howard's collection - all in all an embarrassment of crystal riches.  Many of these glasses are still available for purchase: see the following pages for more photos and details on how to purchase.
