Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892 suggest that the distillery was of stone construction with a shingle roof. The property included a two bonded warehouses: Warehouse A -- frame construction with a shingle roof, 140 ft NW of the still. Warehouse B -- frame construction with a metal or slate roof, 120 ft north of the still. At that time, it was owned by Merritt Bros., late F P Merritt. |
