Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892 suggest that the distillery was of log construction. The property included two bonded warehouses:
No. 1 -- log construction with a shingle roof and measuring 16 x 16 ft. Located 500 yards from the still.
No. 2 -- frame with a shingle roof, located 500 yards from the still. It measured 16 x 18 ft.

At that time, it was being operated by Barlow & Stone.
