"Hunter" was a Wm. Lanahan & Son (Baltimore) brand. Apparently Reynolds took over the west coast agency after Christy & Wise bowed out.
The El Monte brand was registered in 1906 by The Hilf Mercantile Co., but they were wiped out by the earthquake in the same year. The Wilsons (p. 63) have the El Monte Distilling Co. as operating from 1910-1918.
Brand names used by this company include: "Hunter Baltimore Rye."
