A clear glass flask, capacity one pint, with full paper label indicating that it once contained "Old Barbee" Whiskey, from Jno. T. Barbee & Co., Inc. of Louisville, KY. The bottle measures 8-1/8" tall.

The front label reproduces the log distillery scene used on many other advertising items from this company. The rear label contains a caution notice: "This bottle has been filled and stamped under the provisions of the Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1897, entitled 'An Act to allow the bottling of distilled spirits in bond.' Any person who shall re-use this bottle for the purpose of containing spirits, without removing and destroying the stamp affixed to this bottle, or shall re-use the stamp affixed to this bottle, will be liable for each such offense to a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars, or more than One Thousand Dollars, and to imprisonment for not more than two years."
