A 10" diameter Vienna art plate (Pat. Feb 21st., 1905) from Jno. T. Barbee & Co., Louisville, KY. The scene at the center depicts an early log distillery house, marked with a crude, hand-lettered placard that reads "Old Barbee distillery, No. 32, 7 th District, Woodford Co., KY". An old man with a bottle and glass seated outside the door tempts two maidens fresh from the fields with a drink. Crates of whiskey appear in the foreground.
