Est. 1854. A company letterhead dated 1883 lists "Isaac Rosskam, Henry Gerstley, Louis Gerstley and William Gerstley", which is confusing given that the directories refer to Isaac Gerstley and Henry, Louis and William Rosskam.
The 1895 directory identifies Louis & William Rosskam and Isaac Gerstley as owning the company, with William Rosskam identified as President in 1900.
In 1907, a US Supreme Court hearing identified Louis and William Gerstley as being the sole remaining partners in the company.
The company continues until 1921 when the directories identify it as being "in liquidation". William B Rosskam is identified in 1925 as being Vice President of Northern National Bank
The Company had offices in New York (38 Broadway, 1883) and Chicago.
