The weesl in question is <em>princeweesl<\/em>, an eBay seller who listed a couple of dozen glasses for sale this past week with a note that &#8220;<em>I am auctioning off the remainder of a Pre Prohibition Shot Glass collection. Have fun and bid with confidence! There are some rare Western glasses as well as National brands and Grape Juice shots and soda fountain glasses.<\/em>&#8221; Many of these glasses listed and went unsold a year ago to the day; this time around, most attracted at least one bidder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the group, my favorite probably was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/pre-pro-Shot-Glass-Tucker-Whiskey-Brown-Forman-Suspects-his-master-Dog-Picture-\/124660462534?hash=item1d0657b3c6%3Ag%3AisIAAOSwKyNgY9Kq&amp;nma=true&amp;si=rZ%252BWHuyYxCManZNL67T3BYxhUsw%253D&amp;orig_cvip=true&amp;nordt=true&amp;rt=nc&amp;_trksid=p2047675.l2557\">Tucker Whisky highball glass<\/a> featuring a spoof of the famous <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Victor_Talking_Machine_Company\">Victor Talking Machine Co. trademark<\/a>. During the past 4 weeks, 163 pre-pro glasses listed for sale. 57 auctions closed without attracting a bidder, but the average price of the glasses that did sell was <strong>$56.03<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In top place was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pre-pro.com\/midacore\/view_glass.php?sid=RVB026\">two-city Rose glass<\/a> (Jacksonville, FL. and Chattanooga, TN,) with a label so badly ghosted that it was almost unreadable. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/c1900-PRE-PRO-WHISKEY-SHOT-GLASS-ROSE-CHATTANOOGA-TENN-JACKSONVILLE-FLA-\/265097660281?item=265097660281&amp;ViewItem=&amp;nma=true&amp;si=rZ%252BWHuyYxCManZNL67T3BYxhUsw%253D&amp;orig_cvip=true&amp;nordt=true&amp;rt=nc&amp;_trksid=p2047675.l2557\">offered for sale<\/a> by <em>gator-ben<\/em> and the auction closed for a whopping <strong>$334.99<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"791\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/pre-pro.com\/new_and_shotworthy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/rose-791x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pre-pro.com\/new_and_shotworthy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/rose-791x1024.jpg 791w, https:\/\/www.pre-pro.com\/new_and_shotworthy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/rose-232x300.jpg 232w, https:\/\/www.pre-pro.com\/new_and_shotworthy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/rose-768x994.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.pre-pro.com\/new_and_shotworthy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/rose.jpg 981w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In third position (in #2 position was a Mobile, AL. saloon glass) was another <a href=\"https:\/\/pre-pro.com\/midacore\/view_glass.php?sid=RRP373\">Rosebud Whiskey<\/a>. We saw one of these on eBay late last year and I was gobsmacked to see it sell for $212.50, which I figured must have been a fluke given that it&#8217;s a plain text-only glass. eBay regular <em>nuffbarn<\/em> listed one with a dodgy label last week and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/PRE-PROHIBITION-ETCHED-SHOT-GLASS-ROSEBUD-WHISKEY-OWENSBORO-KENTUCKY-PRE-PRO-\/174712107571?item=174712107571&amp;ViewItem=&amp;nma=true&amp;si=rZ%252BWHuyYxCManZNL67T3BYxhUsw%253D&amp;orig_cvip=true&amp;nordt=true&amp;rt=nc&amp;_trksid=p2047675.l2557\">this one sold for <strong>$233.50<\/strong><\/a>. Nuffie &#8211; maybe the high bidder can tell us why these glasses have become golden, because it beats me&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"230\" height=\"266\" src=\"http:\/\/pre-pro.com\/new_and_shotworthy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/rosebud.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-322\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, <a href=\"http:\/\/pre-pro.com\/new_and_shotworthy\/2021\/02\/22\/a-smorgasbord-to-watch\/\">in the last post<\/a> I showcased a bevy of glasses that were being offered through Glass-Works Auctions, observing that their pre-pro glasses often reappear in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.com\/sch\/diggerdaveb\/m.html?item=363348674271&amp;nordt=true&amp;nma=true&amp;hash=item549944c6df%3Ag%3A8WUAAOSwb4tgbIWk&amp;orig_cvip=true&amp;rt=nc&amp;si=v2umfkq3pA85nIAvQQACs8%252BiK%252Bo%253D&amp;_trksid=p2047675.l2562\"><em>diggerdaveb<\/em>&#8216;s eBay store<\/a>. Apparently at least one of the featured lots was won by <em>diggerdave<\/em> because the glasses are currently being listed and are selling on eBay. Among them are a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/203338566371\">Red Cross Whiskey<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/HILLER-039-S-OMAHA-GESUNDHEIT-3-3-4-034-ETCHED-PRE-PRO-BEER-OR-WHISKEY-GLASS-WITH-MOTTO-\/363348674271?hash=item549944c6df%3Ag%3A8WUAAOSwb4tgbIWk&amp;nma=true&amp;si=v2umfkq3pA85nIAvQQACs8%252BiK%252Bo%253D&amp;orig_cvip=true&amp;nordt=true&amp;rt=nc&amp;_trksid=p2047675.l2557\">Hiller&#8217;s beer glass<\/a>, both from Omaha, NE.
