The "Gilt Edge" brand was originally registered in 1877 by Woolner Bros. and they produced at Dist. #20 in Peoria, IL from 1871 to 1920. The brand was also registered in 1899 by Wichman, Lutgen & Co . in San Francisco, CA. and they distributed it throughout the western US. Loeb, Bloom & Co. were wholesalers of Gilt Edge prior to 1900.
