H Hackfeld Co. Ltd. was established in Hawaii in the 1850's and apparently moved into the old court house (which explains the classical dome on the building shown on the shot glass). In “Hawaiian Bottles of Long Ago”, page 89, Elliott lists “H Hackfield & Co” as a wholesale liquor company operating in Honolulu in 1896 - I believe that the name was misspelled and should have read “H Hackfeld & Co” (seller's notes) Company name timeline: H Hackfeld Co.
