The brand was acquired in 1899 by S C Herbst, a Milwaukee wholesaler, who produced both Old Judge and Old Fitzgerald at RD #11, KY 7th district.

Old Judge was distributed in the West by Sara Rothenberg and by her son, Samuel B. Rothenberg, who took over the business in 1898.

The Gladstone brand was owned by Rosenfield Bros & Co of Chicago, IL, 1891-1818, who also owned the Sunny Brook Distillery in Louisville, KY.

Brand names used by this company include: "Old Judge", "Quaker Club", "Rosemond", and "Rosemond A."
