Deep Spring Distillery listed from 1903-1915.
"J W Kelly & Co., Props." (1903)
The distillery was owned by J.W. Kelly Co. and listed under this name 1903-1915 or later. It was located at 13-15 W 9 th (1903-1904), 910 E Missionary Ave (1905-1915).
Kelly goes back further than this. The business was established in 1866 but first shows up in Chattanooga directories as Kelly & Davenport (1882-1889), then J W Kelly (1890-1902), becoming J W Kelly & Co. in 1903 (1903-1915). A display ad from 1903 reads"J W Kelly, Carl White. Deep Spring Lincoln County Tenn. Whiskey. The Standard of Excellence. J W Kelly & Co., Distillers. Wholesale Liquor Dealers and Jobbers of Cigars and Tobacco. "
They were located at the W 9 th St address noted above for the duration.
