Buchu are leaves of an evergreen shrub from S. Africa used in medicinals (Wilson's, p. 114). Snyder (WBr) has Buchu Gin being registered by both S. Hochstadter (6-11-1907) and Chas Jacquin et cie (9-24-1907) but the distillers were Simon Greenbaum & Bros., listed ca. 1870-1920 (HSG).
